Ways your school can fight hunger in our city!
Nobody in our community should ever go hungry. Especially when every $5 donated to Second Harvest can provide 10 fresh and nutritious meals for someone in need. You can print out a Lunch Money Day fact sheet.
You, your teachers and your friends at school have the power to help. Raising money for Second Harvest's Lunch Money Day is easy, a whole lot of fun and a great way to build your community service hours. Talk to your teacher about ways your class can raise money to help those in need.
For example, throw a pizza party where teachers buy the pizza and sell slices for $1 or $2, donating all monies collected to Second Harvest. Or you can organize a bake sale. The sky's the limit. For a list of other ideas, click here.
